High Places

The settlers on the Israel West bank are becoming increasingly violent and obstreperous. The reason is that they have built their settlement on the tops of hills. The Old Testament warned Israel again and again about the dangers of the “High Places” and warned them to get rid of them.

Destroy completely all the places on the high mountains, on the hills and under every spreading tree, where the nations you are dispossessing worship their gods (Deut 12:2).

The high places, however, were not removed (2 Kings 14:4).

These places were where the Canaanites had worshiped their idols, so they are the dwelling places of demons.

The modern settlers have moved into these high places without any spiritual protection, so they are taken over and manipulated by these evil spirits that have rights there. The settlers have gone to the high places to gain control and power over the surrounding areas, but these are the wrong reason, because they link to witchcraft. The evil influence from the high places is the reason for their violent behaviour.
